Let’s create cakesicles using our new silicone cakesicle mold!
First, you're going to need our cakesicle mold (get your cakesicle mold here).
Start by melting Merckens chocolate melts.
If you need directions on how to melt Merckens, we've got you covered (see how to melt Merckens here)
Add a spoonful of chocolate to the mold and use one of our candy brushes to coat the mold evenly.
Insert a wooden ice pop stick and refrigerate for 5 minutes or until set.
Apply another coating along the edges and any spots needing more chocolate.
Refrigerate for 5 more minutes.
Add your cake pop mixture; I used crumbled cake mixed with a small dollop of frosting to form a dough. Press it into the chocolate coating and top with more melted chocolate, ensuring it seals the cake dough. Tap the mold on your work surface to remove air bubbles, then refrigerate for 5-10 minutes until they release easily from the mold.
Now, onto my favorite part: decorating!
I drizzled more melted Merckens chocolate and used our wedding white sprinkle mix along with our new mini royal icing roses to add an elegant touch to these cakesicles!
